उत्तर:- दोनों आँखों के पीछे जीवात्मा जहां वेठी ह वहां मन भी बैठा है । मन जीवात्मा का दश्मन है ओर उसका बरावर निगरानी करता रहता है । आत्मा चेतन है ओर मन जड़ हे और आत्मा की चेतनता से वह काम करता है। यह ठीक उसी प्रकार है जैसे यह शरीर आत्मा की चेतनता से काम करता है हिलता डोलता है और जब जीवात्मा इसम से निकल जाती है तब यह मिट्टी है यह मन चोरी, ठगी, वेइमानी, .कत्ल और तमाम अनैतिक कार्यों की तरफ ले जाता है जिसकी सजा जीवात्मा नरकों और चौरासी लक्ष योनियों में भोगती है ।
नामदान लेने, के बाद सुमिरन, ध्यान, भजन द्वारा मन दश में किया जाता है। मन को और गुरु को सामने खड़ा कर लो | मन का कहा मानकर विषय विकारों में फंस गए तो मनमुख कहलाओगे और गुरु की बात मानकर भजन करोगे सदाचारी जीवन बिताओगे तो गुरुमुख कहलाओगे |
