एक आदमी मर रहा था। मैं भी वहीं बैठा था मैंने कहा कि इसका शरीर छूट रहा है। फिर क्या था घर के लोग उसके कान में जाकर पूछने लगे कि जो लिया दिया है, सो बता दो कहां-कहां सब रखा है? मैंने कहा कि यह बेचारां तो अपनी तकलीफ में मरा जा रहा है और उसकी तकलीफ को नहीं पूछ रहे हो। जब तुम यहां से जाओगे तो तुम्हारा सोना, चांदी, मकान, कुछ भी साथ नहीं जायेगा। तुमने अपनी जीवात्मा के लिये कोई धन जमा किया? एक आदमी महात्मा के पास जाता था और अपनी स्त्री की बड़ी तारीफ करता था।
एक दिन दो दिन रोज-रोज यह दी सुनकर महात्मा जी ने उससे कहा कि बच्चा आज तुम घर जाना तो आंगन में सीधे गिर जाना और सांस रोक कर हाथ फैर फैल लेना। फिर सबकी बातें सुनना तब मालूम होगा कि कौन किसका है।आदमी गया और उसने वैसा ही किया। जैसे ही वह आंगन में गिरा स्त्री दौड़ कर आई कि क्या हो गया। पास-पड़ोसं के लोगों को खबर दी तो वे भी दौड़कर आये और देखकर बोले कि यह तो मर गया । फिर क्या था फ़ौरन बांस कपड़ा मंगाया गया।
जब उसको घर के बाहर निकालने लगे तो हाथ दरवाजे में से नहीं निकल रहा था क्योंकि फैला हुआ था। आदमियों ने कहा कि दरवाजा तोड़ दो और थोड़ी दीवाल भी गिरा दो स्त्री सब सुन रही थी। वो आई और हाथ जोड़ कर बोली कि मेरी एक बात आप लोग मान लें । लोगों ने कहा कि क्या बात है। स्त्री ने कहा कि आप दरवाजा तोड़ देंगे और दीवाल गिरा देंगे तो मेरे पास इतना पैसा नहीं है कि फिर से बनवा सकू। आप ऐसा करें कि मैं गड़ांसा लाती हूं और हाथों को काट दीजिये फिर आप आसानी से ले जा सकेंगे।
वह आदमी सबकी बातों को सुन रहा था। उसने सोचा कि स्त्री तो गड़ांसा लेने गई है और अभी मेरे हाथ काट दिये जायेंगे वह और जोर देकर उठा और सब रस्सी टूट गई तो भागकर सीधे महात्मा जी के पहुंचा और बोला कि महाराज आप बहुत ठीक कह रहे थे कि इस दुनियां में कोई किसी का नहीं है। उसने महात्मा को सारा हाल सुनाया फिर महात्मा जी से उपदेश लेकर परमात्मा की प्राप्ति की साधना में लग गया ।

No one belongs to anyone in this world
A man was dying. I was also sitting there and I said that his body is leaving. Then what happened was that the people of the house went into his ear and started asking, whatever you have taken, tell me where everything is kept? I said that this poor guy is dying due to his suffering and you are not asking about his suffering. When you leave from here, your gold, silver, house, nothing will go with you. Have you saved any money for your soul? A man used to go to the Mahatma and praise his wife a lot.
Hearing this every day for a day or two, Mahatma ji told him that child, if you go home today, fall straight in the courtyard and hold your breath and spread your hands. Then listen to everyone's talk and then you will know who belongs to whom. The man went and did the same. As soon as he fell in the courtyard, the woman came running to ask what happened. When the neighbors were informed, they also came running and after seeing him said that he was dead. Then what happened, bamboo cloth was immediately ordered.
When he was taken out of the house, his hand was not able to go through the door because it was stretched. The men said to break the door and demolish some of the wall also. The woman was listening to everything. She came and folded her hands and said that you all should accept one thing of mine. People said what's the matter. The woman said that if you break the door and demolish the wall, I don't have enough money to get it rebuilt. You do this, I will bring Gadansa and cut off the hands, then you will be able to carry it easily.
That man was listening to everyone's talk. He thought that the woman has gone to get the water and his hands will be cut off. He got up with more force and all the ropes broke, then he ran straight to Mahatma ji and said, Maharaj, you were right in saying that in this world no one cares for anyone else. Not there. He narrated the entire situation to the Mahatma, then after taking advice from the Mahatma, he started practicing the practice of attaining God.
